**Awesome since 2012**When called upon to remember God’s faithfulness, one of the first things that comes to mind is the story of Jethro! His first year of life was an adventure, to say the least. 😅 We had an opportunity last week to visit someone in the same hospital where Jethro spent the first 100 days of his life and it was such a strange experience! Walking corridors again that I walked every day, multiple times a day - sometimes with confident expectation, sometimes with fear and trembling - as I headed to see my baby in the NICU. Being back in those hallways with 12 year old Jethro at my side, healed and whole, was nothing short of a testimony. 🙌🏻“Oh praise the name of the Lord our God. Praise His name forevermore. For endless days we will sing your praise. Oh Lord, oh Lord our God!” 🎶 Happy Birthday to our creative, happy, fun, life of the party, hilarious, one-of-a-kind Jethro Asher! You are loved, redeemed, and we can’t wait to continue to watch God’s awesome plans for you unfold! 🎈🎉🎂😘

Seriously. No one ever tells you about when your kids start turning around and making holiday magic for YOU. 🤩Woke up this morning to a pretty excellent April Fool’s prank by Jethro. 👌🏻**Not gonna lie, though. Zion’s favorite song these last few weeks has been “The Blood” by @bethelmusic and @thedavidfunk - Zion has been singing parts of the bridge and chorus wherever we go. He was shouting it in the grocery aisles today. Then, later, when we were rushing to leave the house and I came out to the living room, I found Zion had set up his own makeshift drum set and was singing on repeat from the song, “Let me tell you, it’s only by the blood. Let me tell you, it’s only by the blood.”What a refrain for our hearts. ❤️ Freedom? Only by the blood.Forgiveness? Only by the blood.Joy? Only by the blood.Peace? Only by the blood.Acceptance? Only by the blood.Want to be fully known and fully loved? Only by the blood.The Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world! Hallelujah! I wanted to post this photo as a reminder. Just before we snapped this shot, bad attitudes were swirling, and complaining/correcting were in full swing. I was feeling my spirit tense up with frustration at my kids - why don’t they get it yet?! Why do they still act so unloving towards each other and me sometimes?!But I can be unloving, too. Especially when I’m hungry, tired, or the stress of the day is too much. My impatience with them is every bit a part of the problem. Will I ever learn?This is why Good Friday is so good. He died for all of the bad attitudes (theirs and mine). He died for the grumbling hearts (theirs and mine). He died for the persistent wrestling with the flesh (theirs and mine).Ryan preached last night at our church’s Maundy Thursday service and he pointed out that at the Last Supper, the disciples were arguing about who was the best. You would think that Jesus’ response - after 3 years of PERFECT training and teaching - would be, “Really?! Why are you still acting this way?! Why haven’t you figured this out?!”Instead, Jesus kneels and begins to wash everyone’s feet. Humility is the path of love.So we look to our servant King and humble ourselves, repenting again and again and again - to Him and to one another. And then we RECEIVE. Receive the tender, loving cleansing of the Lord. Find refuge in His forgiveness, kindness, and acceptance. Rise and bear fruit to share. Repeat.In repentance and rest is your salvation, oh weary sinner. In quietness and trust is your strength.Thanks be to God for this indescribable, good gift. ✝️🙌🏻🥲

✨Spring Break 2024 >> Disney✨Our favorite way to do Disney is to skip the madness of the parks and instead savor the magic of good food 🧇, resort swimming 🏊, monorail rides, surprise character pop-ups, and taking the bus to see the fireworks show at the Grand Floridian! 🎆🥲🙌🏻Also filming lightsaber battles. ☠️ I’m sad it’s over! Plus, our parting gift was a stomach bug. Back to reality! 😂

🎉✨I turned 41 today!✨🎉I celebrated by eating 2 plates of sweet potato fries, wearing a dress with huge puffy sleeves, and delighting in the glittery gift wrap that my mom used to wrap a present. I may or may not have rubbed it all over my lap and face and thought it was the best thing ever. 🤩So thankful for another year of trusting God and loving on His people! ✨🎉✨
